GENERAL MILLS FOUNDATION AWARDS $3.2 MILLION;
AUGSBURG COLLEGE RECEIVES $325,000
MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- The General Mills Foundation trustees awarded $3,232,060 in grants this quarter to 147 non-profit organizations for a variety of community initiatives that focus on the needs of families, children and youth. Forty-eight percent ($1,561,440) of the grant dollars were awarded to 69 organizations for "Health and Social Action" programs. "Education" initiatives received 41 percent ($1,331,120) for 32 organizations. Thirty-one "Arts and Culture" organizations received $186,100 and 15 other organizations were awarded $153,400.
