For the past three wrestling seasons, opponents have known about Tahoma High School senior Michael Johnson.
Johnson - "MJ" to friends and teammates - has been dominant since stepping onto the mat as a sophomore, compiling a 102-1 career record, including the 4A state title at 160 pounds last season.
With a mane of wild curls that seems to match his whirlish style on the mat, Johnson is a blur, darting in and out of his opponent's reach until he gets hold of him. From that point on, it's a solid dose of punishment as Johnson, now competing at 171 pounds, combines strength with quickness.
