Apr. 9--MOUNT VERNON, Ohio -- Buoyed by recent job-creation reports, Commerce Secretary Don Evans told workers at a central Ohio factory that the U.S. economy has turned the corner.
And, the former Texas oilman said yesterday, the recovery of the country's manufacturing sector would be even stronger if the key tenets of the Republican agenda became law: lower taxes, limits on civil lawsuits and a new energy policy.
