2004 APR 12 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Despite advances in the treatment of migraine, the majority of sufferers (57%) continue to self-medicate with over-the-counter (OTC) pain relievers, which, according to medical guidelines, are not the most effective treatment choice for many patients with moderate-to-severe migraine pain.
Now, according to a study published in March in the journal Headache, patients not finding relief with Excedrin-Migraine, a commonly used OTC treatment, have an effective option.
