Easter vigil marks Holy Saturday rites today that will remind the faithful of the time when Jesus was buried while His grieving Mother, Mary, and John the Disciple by her side, watched over the Crucified Son in a tomb borrowed from Joseph of Arimathea.
Holy Saturday in Biblical times served as an interlude in the aftermath of the events on Good Friday that found Jesus few remaining loyal disciples in a grave period of anxiety over what tomorrow may bring as their Master lay dead on a tomb lent by the Jewish rabbi.
