Apr. 10--The Crown Property Bureau (CPB) is in negotiations to swap 445 rai of prime land in Bangkok's Phaya Thai district for a 13 percent stake in Siam Commercial Bank held by the Finance Ministry.
"The prime property we proposed has an official land valuation of around 16 billion baht, which is not different from the present value of the SCB shares. We hope the conclusion of a share swap will be reached soon," said Chirayu Israngkul na Ayutthaya, the CPB director-general.
