IN the 1960 best-selling book in The Hidden Persuaders, those creative talents who are responsible for coming up with ideas that sell products and services are compared to creatures who are out of this world.

The epithet said in a figurative manner is likely to be true.

"Ideal men" in advertising and public relations are oftentimes nonchalantly ribbed by those outside the industry as characters either "in suspended animation or in subliminal suspension."
