WALNUT CREEK, Calif. _ Food for thought: Why not make Opening Day a holiday? Any occasion that calls for red-and-white bunting and gets presidents involved_for the record, three of them were at ballparks this week_deserves the same status as the Fourth of July. Heck, you could put the heroes and goats on a special coin. Here are five that would get first mention.
