In September 1991, the Chemical Education Division of The Chemical Institute of Canada introduced an Affiliate membership category for high school chemistry teachers. This program promotes contact among chemical educators at all levels and encourages the involvement of high school chemistry teachers and community college chemistry and chemical technology teachers in the activities of the Division.
