San Diego-based custom homebuilder Stonefield Development expects to begin laying the foundations next month for some of the Scripps Ranch homes that were lost in the Cedar fire in October.
Stonefield signed contracts in March with about 70 homeowners. The first homes will be finished in the summer, with the remainder completed by year-end. Most are in the Whispering Ridge neighborhood.
Stonefield is offering seven different floor plans with four different facades so that most of the homes are one-of-a-kind.
"We believe it creates value when no two homes on any street look the same," said Robert C. Pack, founder and owner of Stonefield.
