Software Developers Already Pushing New Products For Apple's New PowerBook PC
Apple Computer Inc. has jumped into the computer industry mainstream by introducing three new notebook PCs. As Apple CEO John Sculley put it, "We want to move out of the sand box and onto the whole beach."
Apple announced the notebooks at last month's Comdex trade show in Las Vegas, Nev. The six-pound notebooks are especially important to Apple because notebook sales are jumping 40 percent a year, while sales of other portables are still climbing 20 percent a year.
