Louise Burfitt-Dons, 50, remembers the exact moment when she realised that her daughter was being bullied at school. 'I was in my local library and as I walked past a shelf of books, one on bullying caught my eye. I started reading it and was shocked to find that what had been happening to my child was classic psychological bullying. I stood there feeling devastated.'
Louise, a playwright and former actress, realised her daughter, then eight, had become unhappy at prep school but had attributed it to friends falling out with one another.
