West Chicago officials are hoping the city can become the next Paris Hilton or Hugh Grant.
A public relations success story, that is.
Tarnished stars with bad reputations long have turned to PR firms to sway public opinion. Now that practice is becoming a popular means for even small towns to change long-held perceptions.
"It's what the private sector would do if they have a product to market," City Administrator Michael Guttman said. "We want to market to people who want to live and do business in West Chicago."
