DALLAS _ A few years ago, Nia Vardalos was just another struggling actress/writer with a small stage production. Now she gets mobbed when she picks up coffee at her local Starbucks.
What a difference a "Big Fat Greek Wedding" makes.
So what does she do for an encore? She writes and stars in "Connie and Carla," a reworking of "Some Like It Hot" that finds Vardalos (Connie) and Toni Collette (Carla) hiding out in a big, fat L.A. drag show after witnessing a gangland murder.
