What's in and what's out in social studies?
You almost need a scorecard to keep track these days. Names, places and events get added or subtracted, or they get changed from requirements to examples from which teachers can pick and choose.
There's still plenty of disagreement over what's in store for Minnesota social studies classes, probably beginning in the 2005-06 school year. But as legislators prepare to hash out their differences, it's time to take a peek at just what those differences are.
