IS IT POSSIBLE for Cedric the Entertainer to be unfunny sometimes? Unfortunately, yes. "Johnson Family Vacation'' proves that even a funnyman of his girth and energy needs good material.
"The Original Kings of Comedy,'' the stand-up comic documentary, and the two "Barbershops'' established him as the guffaw of the moment. But in "Vacation," he's at the mercy of slapstick farce. This is what you call low comedy.
As Cedric's first star-billed vehicle, it is a major disappointment. Casting Cedric as a dull insurance salesman and father of three was not the brightest move. It's a Bill Cosby role, not a ...
