Apr. 15--Federal and state health officials toured the Ford Motor Co.'s former paint sludge dump in Ringwood on Wednesday, confirming that mounds of waste remain, just as claimed by residents who suspect the leftover pollutants have sickened them.
Experts from the federal Environmental Protection Agency, the federal Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, and the state Health and Environmental Protection departments, together with residents and the law firm representing them, spent a rainy afternoon combing through fields strewn with clumps of paint sludge, ...
