PPV Olympics: Still Sticking to Three Channels
The Pay-Per-View Olympics TripleCast will not entertain ideas of a single channel option for smaller systems until it has commitments from systems representing 40 million basic subscribers, said PPV Olympic vice president Marty Lafferty.
It's coming down to crunch time for both the PPV Olympics and operators as last week the TripleCast triggered its 30-day notification to its affiliates, meaning they have a month to tell NBC/Cablevision Systems Corp. which systems will carry the event.
