HOW VERY nice it is to have Helen Mirren back on the telly playing Detective Superintendent Jane Tennison of the London Metropolitan Police. It's been seven years since we last saw her bring a killer to justice.
Jane Tennison is among your humble columnist's favorite all-time television characters - right up there with Emma Peel of "The Avengers" and Columbo. And Anna Nicole Smith.
Mirren returns to PBS on Sunday at 9 p.m. in "Prime Suspect 6: The Last Witness."
It's a humdinger of a police drama. Great stuff.
