Article: Initial Terrorist Watch List Will Be Online Soon, TSA Official Says.(Transportation Security Administration)

The first installment of a terrorist screening center, which aims to integrate databases across the federal government for use in thwarting potential terrorists from evading security and boarding planes at the nation's airports, will be online by March 31, the acting chief of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) told Congress yesterday.

While the initial version of the watch list won't include all potential information from all agencies, the system will reach full operational capability by the end of 2004, David Stone told the House Transportation Aviation subcommittee. "We will grow that through the year and improve it," he said.
