STANDARD Life has lowered rates for its accelerated critical illness cover to target younger customers and the mortgage market.
Critical illness cover attached to Standard Life level protection, mortgage protection, renewable protection and convertible protection plans will be affected.
Under the new regime of premiums, a male non-smoker, aged 29, can get GBP100,000 of cover inside the Standard Life level protection plan for GBP28.53 compared with the old premium of GBP36.03.
