Fire Chief Bill Boyd has announced he has chosen Andrew Day as assistant fire chief for the Bellingham Fire Department.
The assistant fire chief assists with overall administration, budget and operations of the Bellingham Fire Department, which includes county-wide EMS services provided by Whatcom Medic One. The department employs 158 firefighters, paramedics and other staff and has an annual budget of approximately $21 million.
