The chairman of US National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) has announced a new writing programme for US troops at a poets conference in New Hampshire.
The 'Operation Homecoming' program will give US troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan the chance to attend writing workshops with bestselling authors such as Tom Clancy, Tobias Wolff and James McBride with the best work published in an anthology in late 2005.
