Hardwar, Apr 21 (PTI) An indefinite curfew was imposed in parts of the Hardwar (holy city in northern state of Uttranchal) after clashes between police and traders left 20 persons injured following an eve-teasing incident allegedly involving a police man.
The clashes erupted Tuesday night after a police personnel allegedly misbehaved with the wife of a local trader. The agitated members of the trading community lodged a strong protest to the incident, official sources said, adding police resorted to lathicharge in which 20 persons, including media men, were injured.
