CARSON, Calif., April 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Allergy sufferers are buying more store brand Loratadine 10 mg pills than Claritin(R) because they find the generic equivalent is a better value for the price. Store brand 10 mg tablets jumped to a record high market share of 56.2%, surpassing the number of Claritin 10 mg tablets sold in the 4 weeks ending March 2004 (IRI Data). At its current cost of $0.96 per pill, Claritin 10mg tablets are almost three times more expensive than the price of a store brand 10 mg pill at $0.37.
