Third-party administration (TPA) providers to pension schemes need to adopt a proactive, service-oriented culture, according to participants at a Pensions Week administration panel.
Paymaster sales director Nick Wheeler commented: "I think there has to be much more proactive service delivery going forward. The traditional administration of just responding to a transaction when it happens, whether it is a leaver or a joiner, has gone by the board now. The administrator must come forward to try to help trustees with their responsibilities."
The other participants at the administration panel debate agreed with Wheeler's comments.
