Hardwar, Apr 22 (PTI) Curfew was on Thursday relaxed for an hour in phases in trouble-torn localities of the northern Indian holy city with the situation remaining peaceful after Wednesday's violence triggered by eve-teasing by cops even as local traders called a state-wide bandh tomorrow to protest police "repression".
Director General of Police Ashok Kumar said the situation in the city was largely peaceful as there was no report of any violence from the curfew bound localities. Heavy deployment of police continued in the violence hit areas where locals clashed with police in which one person was dead and about 100 injured.
Curfew was relaxed for one ...
