As the US Pentagon builds up jet fuel stocks in preparation for a possible war against Iraq, it is still having problems securing supplies for its planes flying in and out of Afghanistan under Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). And, as this week's clashes on the Afghan-Pakistan border testify, the work of the US military in Afghanistan is far from over.
