Moorhead, Minn. -- Despite Christopher Earl's attempts to portray himself as the victim of his accomplice, a Clay County jury convicted him Thursday night of 10 counts of murder in the slayings of Holly Chromey and her two teenage children in Long Prairie last year.
The jury of five women and seven men took about 6 1/2 hours to reach its verdict, which was announced shortly after 10 p.m. Each of the counts carries the maximum sentence of life in prison, with four of the charges providing for no release. Sentencing is set for 9 a.m. today.
