Norwell-based Jack Conway Co. recorded the best first quarter in the company's 48-year history this year, selling $386.3 million of properties.
That's up 24 percent from 2003's first-quarter volume of $311 million.
"We never had a start like this, and I am just thrilled that we are able to keep up with it all," company Chairman Jack Conway said.
He said cold weather kept January sales essentially flat, but "things took off in February."
Conway said 2004 sales outpaced 2003 volume by 43 percent in February and 26percent in March.
