Eugene police are helping make Carl Richard Djusberg a celebrity.
Local detectives Ralph Burks and Dan Braziel hope the episode of "America's Most Wanted" being filmed in Eugene this week will bring to a close a case that has haunted them since August 2000.
That's when Djusberg, living under an assumed name, allegedly kidnapped an acquaintance at gunpoint during a fishing trip in Dexter and forced her to drive to her Eugene home, where he ordered her to strip, bound and gagged her and assaulted and terrorized her for several hours.
