BADAWI SWORN IN AS MALAYSIA'S PRIME MINISTER
KUALA LUMPUR - A day after his stunning landslide polls victory, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was sworn in as Malaysia's Prime Minister Monday. The final election tally showed that his Barisan Nasional (BN) had swept 198 of the 219 seats in Parliament. Speaking at a press conference, Datuk Seri Abdullah said the election outcome was an "endorsement of his ideas" and vision for a progressive, modernist Malaysia.
