TOKYO, April 2 Asia Pulse - Powder and paste maker Daiken Chemical Co. has developed a commercial-use air purifier that utilizes a new high-performance photocatalyst for fast, efficient operation.
The photocatalyst, which is made from nanoparticles of titanium oxide coated with even smaller nanoparticles of platinum, can degrade airborne organic particulate matter twice as quickly as conventional photocatalysts in the presence of ultraviolet light.
