EVER since Mill House first succumbed to Arkle, the English have taken him to their hearts in a very special manner. We love him most because fate seemed to have dealt so unfairly with him in producing a rival so immeasurably superior to anything ever seen before over fences that even Mill House's outsize heart, lungs and muscles were not big enough.
