Calgary-based pipeline firm Enbridge is angling for a piece of the proposed Alaska North Slope natural gas pipeline project.
Enbridge announced last week that it plans to file an application with the state of Alaska that will allow the company to begin negotiating fiscal and other terms related to the building of a gas pipeline stretching from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, to the Yukon border. "This filing brings us to the table," said Enbridge spokesman Jim Rennie.
Enbridge isn't looking to build the giant, multibillion-dollar project by itself. Instead, the company wants to participate as a partner in the Alaska portion as well as the Canadian portion of the ...
