GENERAL DYNAMICS ATLAS II SUCCESSFULLY ORBITS EUTELSAT SATELLITE
CAPE CANAVERAL AFS, Fla., Dec. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The first flight of a General Dynamics Atlas II today successfully launched a communications satellite for the European Telecommunications Satellite Organization (EUTELSAT).
The Atlas II (Atlas/Centaur-102) lifted off from Launch Complex 36B, and successful separation of the EUTELSAT II spacecraft, built by Aerospatiale (France), occurred approximately 30 minutes after liftoff as planned.
