AFIRST time buyer claims he was landed with a pounds 15,000 bill and was unable to live in his new home for 18 months after an estate agent failed to tell him it had been wrecked by a burst pipe.
Tristan Wilkinson bought the three-bed semi in Camp Lane, Handsworth, for pounds 60,000 in 2002 from Bairstow Eves estate agent in Rookery Road.
The 25-year-old thought he'd covered himself against any pitfalls by paying for a full survey to be carried out on the house in Camp Lane, Handsworth, before moving in.
