The Chicago Fire has the opportunity today to see the Greatest Show on Earth, up close and personal.
The Fire (0-1-2) hits the road to play D.C. United, coached by former Fire captain Peter Nowak.
While the Washington club has several talented veterans, the only player who really matters is 14-year-old wunderkind Freddy Adu.
Adu, who reportedly has ballhandling skills and scoring ability far beyond those of most mortal men, has been the subject of the greatest soccer hype in this country since Pele agreed to play here in the 1970s.
