Bradley Rips Century
LOS ANGELES - Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley lowered his guns at cable last week, calling a press conference to decry the "simply outrageous," 13.9 percent rate hike that Century Cable had announced earlier.
Effective Dec. 1, the price for basic cable, exclusive of remote, guide and converter rental, will rise to $24.20 for Century's 113,000 subscribers in its three non-contiguous franchise areas within the city. Bradley also blasted Century for its $84 installation charge, the highest in the city.
