Should parents be permitted to spend public mo on private education?
Private schools, even in cities with very large numbers of them, educate only a very small fraction of the nation's students. You would still have to find public-school alternatives for the vast majority of students. That means you have to make the public schools work.
But unlike private schools, public schools are required to try to educate all students. Doesn't that make their job extraordinarily difficult?
