Apr. 30--Ozzie Osborne, the top manager for IBM in Boca Raton, retires today after 36 years with Big Blue.

Osborne's 27-year career at IBM in South Florida spanned its glory days when the first personal computers rolled off the assembly line in the early 1980s, through the breakup of its massive complex off Yamato Road in Boca, to the reuniting of its scattered South Florida project teams in a new building 2 miles north of its old home.

Osborne, 57, will be replaced by Pete Martinez, 50, IBM vice president for business consulting services for Latin America.
