NEW YORK-The low-twist type of bath towels that Cannon introduced to department store shelves more than two decades ago has long cycled out, but they are making a strong comeback under different labels.
For two years now, the towels have been getting a lot of attention at retail, and indications are the trend will continue in the coming years. The question is whether this time around consumers will hang onto their towels longer than they used to.
