In late January, Ion Optics, Inc. (Waltham, MA, 781-788-8777)(www.ion-optics.com), a developer of innovative MEMS products, including low-power, cost-effective infrared gas sensors, reported closing $4.0 million in Series C financing, which will support the development of the low-cost, high-volume packaging technology required to drive the company's SensorChip infrared (IR) gas sensor technology into high-volume markets.
