European Trade Commissioner Pascal Lamy, US Trade Representative Robert Zoellick and other key trade players were due to meet in London late on April 30 to explore how to re-launch the World Trade Organisation's beleaguered Doha round.
The four main themes on the agenda are farming, non-agricultural market access, cotton and the "Singapore" issues - trade facilitation, transparency in government procurement, cross-border investment and competition. The meeting in London will gather countries such as Brazil, Mexico, Kenya and South Africa along with WTO Director-General Supachai Panitchpakdi.
