May 4--America West Airlines won its second consecutive award for an outstanding frequent-flier program Monday, a sign the Tempe carrier continues to change its image with business and other everyday travelers, industry analysts said.
The airline's FlightFund received by InsideFlyer magazine's "Freddie Award" for best Elite-Level program in the United States, Canada and Latin America.
America West is the first low-fare carrier to win the honor, given to airlines that have exceptional frequent-flier programs for passengers who fly more than 25,000 miles annually, ...
