May 4--NY Waterway is considering increasing the fare on its Hoboken-to-Pier 11 route in June, according to company officials and an internal memo obtained by The Record.
The increase, according to the memo, could be up to 50 cents. However, company spokesman Pat Smith said the increase could be $1.
The company also will adjust evening service on the route due to low ridership and as part of an effort to decrease operating costs, according to the memo.
