Scoring six goals in five games is no way to win a Stanley Cup.
But the Colorado Avalanche still is hanging, still hoping, and now the hope is tinged with realistic possibility instead of residing in the realm of a pipe dream.
"Yeah, it would be nice to have that level of luxury," Avalanche goaltender David Aebischer said Monday when asked what it would be like to have a two- or three-goal lead in a game.
"But that's playoff hockey. I didn't expect it to be any different. You know it's going to be like this, so you just prepare mentally to be on top of your game and stop every shot."
