May 5--Just hang up.
That was the message Tuesday from Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott to senior citizens in San Antonio.
With this week's rollout of the state's new Medicare health insurance discount cards, those 60 and over may soon be targeted by telemarketing scam artists seeking to take advantage of the elderly.
"If you get a telephone call from anyone trying to sell you a Medicare drug discount card, you can be assured it is a scam. Just hang up," Abbott said.
