DETROIT _ There was an unfamiliar face on the first team at Wednesday's Pistons practice.
Rasheed Wallace.
Wallace's practice time has been almost nil in recent weeks because of plantar fasciitis in his left arch. Mornings are painful for the 6-foot-11 forward.
Evidently the three days off until Friday's Game 2 will be good for Wallace as the Pistons try to hold serve at home.
"Rasheed practiced a little bit," said coach Larry Brown. "I didn't recognize him. I hadn't seen him out there. He did all right. He was OK. He's getting closer. We have some days off. The mornings are the real problem."
