ASTHMA kills 40 people a year in Northern Ireland - but 90 per cent of the deaths are preventable, a shock report revealed on World Asthma Day yesterday.
The respiratory disease - which affects 150,000 people in the Province - should not be written off as a childhood problem involving minor wheezing, Asthma UK said in its Living on a Knifeedge survey.
